Account Information

When you sign in, we may receive information from your authentication provider, such as:

• A unique user identifier
• Email address (if provided by Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In)
• Display name or profile information made available by the provider

We use this information to create and manage your beGin account, authenticate sessions, and provide server-side features.

User Content and Artwork

beGin allows you to create and store artwork. Depending on your settings:

• Artwork may be stored locally on your device
• Artwork may be synced via Apple iCloud and CloudKit across your devices
• Certain account-related metadata may be stored on our servers

You control your artwork. We do not claim ownership of content you create in the App.

AI Requests and Uploaded Images

When you use AI-assisted features, the App may send relevant content — such as text prompts, artwork data, or uploaded images — to AI service providers to process your request.

iCloud and CloudKit

If you enable iCloud sync, your artwork and related data may be stored in your personal iCloud account through Apple CloudKit. This data is subject to Apple's privacy policy and terms. We do not have direct access to your iCloud credentials.

Purchases and StoreKit

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We receive transaction-related information from Apple (such as subscription status and product identifiers) to enable features tied to your plan. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Analytics and Diagnostics

We may collect usage and diagnostic information to understand how the App performs, fix errors, and improve features. This may include:

• App version and device type
• Crash logs and error reports
• General usage patterns (such as feature usage frequency)

Where possible, we aim to minimise personally identifiable information in analytics data.

Third-party Services

beGin integrates with third-party services that may process data on our behalf or under their own terms, including:

• Apple Sign in with Apple — authentication
• Google Sign-In — authentication
• Apple CloudKit — iCloud sync and storage
• Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases and subscriptions
• Cloudflare — website hosting and related infrastructure

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Specific retention periods include:

Account and Data Deletion

You may delete your beGin account from within the App. See our Account Deletion page for instructions. Deleting your account removes server-side account data as described on that page but may not delete local artwork, iCloud data, or backups you saved elsewhere.

Children's Privacy

beGin is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

International Data Processing

Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

User Rights
